about

From a temple on a rocky outcrop named Aratita, bells chime out across the Atlantic Ocean, carrying clarion calls to new acolytes. In an arcane procession of four tracks, high priests have performed a series of sacred rites to manifest the Deosil EP, devoted to the transformative power of jazz and electronic purity.

Releasing these recordings, the priests invite the listener on a pilgrimage around the shrines of their idols, to genuflect and revel. Nothing is known about the nameless five, though their faction reveals the secret of their art; the Aratita Elektronik Jazz Quintet bow over electronics in a modern propitiation to the gods.

Few arts bear power for change in the space of seconds and at twenty minutes, the AEJQ energy crackles its way through decades and dimensions to capitulate to a cult belief system of performance.

Many gods are worshipped in the temple hall and the four rites of sound from those passages of Aratita do not seek to emulate the glory of the great ones but rather, in pouring out time as libations, the songs offer up new artefacts they find pleasing to the aspects of electronic jazz as it lives on in 2020.
