Available this July, the original version of ‘Hold Firm’ is taken from Zimbabwean-Irish hip hop MC God Knows’ second full release on Fly High Society, ‘Who’s Asking? Vol. 2’. Featuring two Dublin heavyweights in the Irish rap game, Nealo and Lethal Dialect, this version is remixed by an all-Irish group of musicians known collectively as Aratita Electronik Jazz Quintet. AEJQ’s take on instrumental Jazz is often forged in punchy drums, slick baselines and lush pads and this remix is a perfect example of the driving energy and groove found in many of their songs.
